Odor Terminator Treatments
Odor and Corrosion - Hydrogen Sulfide
The Odor Terminator Process can replace existing oxidative wastewater treatment systems of any size. Importantly, Odor Terminator based treatment systems are often more efficient and provide for lower cost than competing oxidation treatment systems. The Odor Terminator system requires no materials or special construction, and power requirements are absolutely minimal. The design is simple. Metered injection of the ingredients, rapid in-line mixing, and adequate retention time are the primary design criteria.

Case Study - Hydrogen Sulfide Treatment
The Odor Terminator process was utilized to treat municipal wastewater flowing into the head works at a Northern California Wastewater Treatment Plant that treats 30 MGD. Influent air hydrogen sulfide concentrations ranged as high as 250 PPM. Average hydrogen sulfide readings from air monitoring equipment upstream of Odor Terminator treatment were 102 PPM. The objective of the study was to reduce the levels of hydrogen sulfide within the wastewater to a point which allowed for acceptable levels of hydrogen sulfide within the air.
The Odor Terminator process was successful in reducing hydrogen sulfide levels within the air and wastewater. Levels of hydrogen sulfide were reduced impressively within the air from levels ranging from 102 PPM to 250 PPM to less than 1 PPM throughout the study. Most of the treatment was accomplished within 3 minutes of contact time.
The treatment project was completed within two weeks at a substantial savings in cost to any competing technology or disposal option.
